A look: July 30, 2018 (First Cut Crease)

Hello! I thought I’d share my very first cut crease! It’s somewhat subtle, with safer colors and only half of the crease cut, but maybe at some point I’ll do something more.

I would’ve tried this before, but I’ve been a chicken. Also, these sharper looks often come across too harsh on my more petite face, and it’s honestly not always my style. But today I’m not leaving my house and I wanted to try something new.

I’ve meant to do this sort of post before with other looks but I’ve gotten lazy on my best makeup days.

Anyway, I think I did a decent job! It also suits me a lot more than I expected.

The joy that the sparkle and shine of this look brought me was truly impossible to convey!

I do really like the color scheme that I stuck with in this look, because although it is pretty aggressive with the shine, it still has a decent daytime feminine vibe.

Here are some closer pictures of the eye look as well as the lips:

I can definitely recognize quite a few flaws with my look, but I’m really excited about it anyway.

I’m also excited that doing something this precise has not given me a major panic attack with my OCD, which is a wonderful sign of my progress in that realm as well. Maybe I’ll talk about that sometime too. I’ll let you know.

Anyway, I’m also obsessed with this lip gloss that I used. It has crazy sparkle, yet it’s a such a wonderfully flattering shade of pink. A lot of times with the trending makeup at the moment, there are gorgeous products like this, but they’re always made in horrible colors.

Let’s do this.

This was a bit of a 50/50 box for me.

The Dr. Brandt No More Baggage Eye De-Puffing Gel: Honestly, I haven’t found this to do a whole lot for me. But, because I have more issues with under-eye darkness than I do with bags, I had my mom try it. We both agree that it’s a bit too thick and tacky, but she definitely does like it and is weighing it against her usual, the Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate. Definitely cheaper!

Boxycharm July 2018

Hello again! It’s Boxy time.

The theme of the month is “Roadtrippin.” Each item really does fit the theme, and I’m a bit fussy about that. The idea is also really cute for the summer!

The BoxyBabes are also back, featuring @valentinabarretod, @debbiedmakeup, @cecelyr, @chola_girl, and @jo_phoenixx. Both Joelle and Chola were in last month’s. (Side note: All five of them are too pretty, it’s genuinely frustrating.)

There are two items in the box this month that varied; you could have gotten a setting spray or an eyeshadow palette, and you could also have gotten an eye cream or a face mask. I received the spray and the eye cream.

(Here are links to the other two items: Crown Pro 10 Color Fuego Collection, Farmacy Bright On Massage-Activated Vitamin C Mask)

Boxycharm June 2018

Welcome to my first post! We’re going to get right into it, because I can’t be bothered to be formal about this. I’m too excited to start!

I’ve been signed up to receive Boxycharm boxes eac1h month since February, and now it seems like it would be impossible to ever give up. I’m obsessed. I stare at the FedEx tracking every month like a crazy person. In all fairness, I do need to make sure that I know when it is delivered because it’s so hot in Las Vegas that everything would be ruined if I left it the mailbox.

Anyway, let’s do this.

The theme was “Caribbean Queen,” which I think is perfect for June and is very well represented in the items.
